Is the scooter waterproof? Can I ride or park in the rain? Can I ride on wet roads or through puddles?

Unagi scooters have an IP-54 rating which makes them splash-proof. Riding in light rain or on damp streets will not damage the scooter. However, water damage becomes more likely if exposed to rain for long periods of time or even short but heavy downfalls. In general, it's best to keep the scooter away from water exposure as much as possible. We never recommend parking your scooter outside, but this becomes especially important in rainy weather. Avoid riding through puddles altogether because not only is it impossible to tell how deep it is, but also it could be hiding a pothole that could cause further damage or injury to yourself. Do not hose down your scooter to clean it (see here for cleaning tips). It is your responsibility to keep your scooter safe from water damage. All-Access subscribers will be subject to a damage fee if a replacement is needed due to water damage, and our warranty does not cover damage incurred as a result of neglecting to protect the scooter from water.
